The Toll-Free Counselling Helpline which deals with hundreds of queries from children and adults. You can call us on the toll-free line and we try to help you in the best way we can. We teach about how to prevent abuse and what abuse is. That way if someone is abusing you, you will know straight away. Training of volunteers is something we have to do because we need all the help we can get to answer your calls on the toll-free line.
We also provide our counsellors and staff with training when we see they need it so that we can provide excellent service to the children who call. We talk with other organisations and individuals who are also helping children to see how we can work together.
They may ask you some questions about how you are feeling and how long you have felt like that for, to get a better idea of what you are going through. They can support you with making decisions and can also give you information about other places that can offer help.

The only time that we would need to tell someone else is if you asked us to or we thought you were in immediate danger. To speak to a Childline counsellor call or visit Childline's website. Lauren is also a counsellor at Childline and shared all about the service that Childline provides to young people across the UK.
