The low rocks of the point form the northern boundary, with the Mooloolaba Harbour entrance wall at the eastern end. The beach is backed by a continuous foreshore reserve which, toward the northern end, is the site of the Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club founded in , a beachfront caravan park and a large car park. A road runs behind the reserve and provides access points along the beach.
On the south side of the road are a number of facilities servicing the boating activities on Mooloolaba Harbour. Directly across the road from Oceans is Mooloolaba's patrolled beach, a popular beach with tourists and locals in a great position with BBQ facilities and close to shops, restaurants and cafes.
It is a very busy beach, especially since it is so close to the Esplanade, but you are sure to find your own slice of heaven here. The Mooloolaba Surf Club with it's spectacular views is just down the road and serves some delicious food. Just 3 mins north of your Mooloolaba accommodation will find you at this wonderful ribbon like beach which is popular with families and surfers alike. The Esplanade running along the beachfront is abuzz with coffee shops, restaurants and boutiques.
Joggers and sightseers begin the day at sunup under cloudless blue skies. Mooloolaba has been voted cleanest beach on Queensland's coast in recent years. Best surfing is 10 minutes up the road at Alexandra Heads. Find your way out of the unusual star-shaped English-style Bellingham Maze Tanawha-Tourist Drive, Tanawha , then relax over a Devonshire Tea of scones, jam and clotted cream with a pot of brewed tea. Sunset dinner cruises feature fresh-caught seafood on balmy evenings under Southern skies.
