It strives to put its timeless miracles into the particulars of experience and to locate the experience in time and place. As listeners we participate in the story with both mind and body as we enter the narrative world and react to it. My mom worked in the candy factory, while my dad worked on the construction site. We spoke Spanish at home and we lived in an apartment. And so it was for the other kids in the class.
I was nervous sharing my story, as I am sure many of my classmates were too. Crafting the script for the video was the most difficult part, but it was easier finding images to complement her words. Telling their own stories can help them make sense of the world around them and be more sensitive to the stories that shaped their students.
